Celebrate your end of year festivities with a Christmas function at the Refectory, Manawatu’s best-kept secret nestled within the beautiful grounds of Massey University.
Christmas at the Refectory takes the stress out of organising your Christmas function. Simply arrive, relax and enjoy a magical Christmas experience at our beautifully restored historic venue.
Teams, Groups or Family
Whether you’re a small team, a large corporate group, or gathering of friends we have you covered – with the option of private bookings or shared celebrations with others, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
Your festive experience begins with a complimentary glass of bubbles or beer on arrival, followed by mingling with friends and colleagues while canapes are served on the Oval. We’ve also got you covered with lawn games for some friendly competition!
Then take your seat and savour a delectable family-style dinner served by the talented team at Crafted and Co. The festivities continue with live music and dancing in the main hall, while our cozy lounge offers a quieter space to unwind and chat.
Event Highlights
Arrival (5:30pm): Start your evening with canapés and complimentary bubbles or beer on arrival on the lawns of the Massey Oval.
Lawn Games: Get into the festive spirit with our lawn games, perfect for a few laughs.
Family-Style Dinner: Enjoy a beautifully prepared dinner served to your table to share.
Tea & Coffee: After dinner, enjoy a selection of sweet treats with tea and coffee.
Live Music: Dance the night away to a fantastic live band, playing all the classics.
Specialty Bar Service: Enjoy craft beer on tap from our friends at Brew Union, wines, premium RTDs, cider, and non-alcoholic options.
Beverage Information: Your first glass of bubbles or beer is included. Additional beverages can be charged to a bar tab or purchased via EFTPOS throughout the evening.
Wrap up (11pm): After an evening of great food, music, and festive cheer, your Christmas celebration concludes.
